George Daniel (Ouellette) Willard was born April 29th 1892[1][2] of Lévi Ouellette and Rose McDougald at Moose Creek, Ontario.[1][3][4][2][5] He married Emma Montroy October 06th 1913[5][6] at Alexandria, ON[3] and fathered William[7] (1914), John Angus (1914, died two months old?)[4], Alexander (1917)[8], Julienne (1919)[6], Gordon (1922)[9], and John James (1924, given up for adoption[3])[4][10] Willard.[4] He fathered Jackie Willard (mother unknown)[11]. He died before 1992, when he's listed as the late George Willard in Gordon's obituary[12].
At the time of Julienne's birth, he worked as a day labourer (journalier) at Glen Nevis (South Glengarry, Ontario), and was not literate.[6] He witnessed his sister Florence's baptism in Moose Creek in 1912.[13] His children's baptisms were registered in Glengarry 1917–1922 (Alexandria 1914–1914, Mille Roche 1917, Bainsville 1919–1922, and Alexandria 1924), so it is likely he lived there at the time.[4]
